When Heidi Sue Variety shuttered its doors after 30+ years of business, Phoenixville lost another retail store to the changing times. But the business community need not have worried, because Conshohocken Brewing Co. came into town.

Founded on the same American industrial spirit as the borough after which it is named, Conshohocken Brewing Company crafts small batch beers and serves them in this completely renovated historic building on Bridge Street, directly across from The Colonial Theatre.

Built in 1926, the two-story brick building with cast stone accents has a unique Art Deco façade, which was enhanced with a folding glass door system that allows the interior functions to meld with the activity on the street. A new steel stair connects both floors, each offering new bars for enjoying the craft beers, along with table tennis, foosball and shuffleboard tables. The stripped-down interior highlights the exposed brick walls, original wood floors and simple graphics of this well-respected brewing company.
